Exercises for the shoulder
When we play sport or work we often load the shoulders very heavily. This can lead to complaints that make daily activities very difficult. Often it helps to do exercises that train the shoulder muscles and tendons.
Shoulder complaints
Overhead activities such as throwing and racquet sports or painting the ceiling regularly lead to shoulder complaints. But sitting at a desk for long periods or repeatedly making the same arm movement can also cause shoulder pain. Even sleeping can then become a problem. This is an overuse of the shoulder. Some muscles work too hard and others do too little. In short, the balance is gone. With the right exercises you restore this balance.
Start now with exercises for the shoulder
Our physiotherapists have created exercise programmes for various shoulder complaints. The exercises start light and easy and become gradually heavier and more difficult. In this way the shoulder becomes stronger and more stable. This reduces the complaints and the pain. This way you take control of your shoulder complaints and get the shoulder back into shape. You carry out the exercises independently using professional instruction videos.
An overview of all exercise programmes for the shoulder can be found below. Not yet sure which condition you need an exercise programme for? Then first do the self-check.
