Anatomy

Anatomy is Ancient Greek and means 'the study of biology'. It describes the structure of the tissues of organisms. It therefore explains how a body, plant or animal is put together and which parts it consists of.

Within physiotherapy we usually talk about human anatomy and mainly the muscular system, the nervous system and the skeleton. In addition, other parts of the anatomy also play a role such as:
- The skin
- The respiratory system
- Cardio-respiratory system

Below we will discuss the most important anatomical structures in detail. Click on a topic to read more about it.
